Club Advisors Expansion

Club Advisors announces the upcoming private club interim management expansion.  In addition to recently adding a HR Certified GM, we are adding a private club F&B Director, a private club Controller, and a private club Agronomic Advisor available for interim superintendent assignments. 

 

David Waymire, CGCS, is leading the initiative to add three interim superintendents in 2023-2024. Not only will the seasoned superintendent veterans be available for interim superintendent assignments, but they will also be available for capital improvement project management, performance management/best practices, customized club agronomy standards, and evaluations.

 

These Club Advisors interim superintendents bring with them Club Advisors Capital and they can show you how our specialized procurement solutions can help you save large sums of money on major capital purchases while providing a relationship, quality-based service to enhance bottom-line growth and control costs.

Assignments

Happy Cinco de Mayo.  Assignments for our Advisors include Interim Executive Chef (IEC) Joel Corwin at Country Club of Paducah, IEC Bill Ballard at Lajitas Golf Resort in West Texas, and IEC Jon York at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst.  Interim Controller Eleanor Madsen has been engaged by Cat Cay Yacht Club in the Bahamas after recently completing an assignment at The Country Club (Ohio).  Several other assignments are pending.

American Culinary Federation National Convention Las Vegas

What a great few days at the American Culinary Federation (ACF) National Convention in Las Vegas with some of the finest culinary professionals in the World. It was a treat for Club Advisors to be part of this gathering.  See you next year ACF in New Orleans at the New Orleans Convention Center, Booth 133, July 16 - July 19, 2023.

Where is Everyone?

Here is a list of what everyone is doing these days. Bill Ballard is winding up an IEC assignment at Snowmass Club in Colorado; Skip Thompson is completing an IGM assignment at Fremont Hills CC in the Silicon Valley and heading south to Sunrise Club in Rancho Mirage; Doug Holtz recently completed his IGM assignment at Centre Hills CC in PA; Robert Saalfeld continues his IEC assignment at The Woodlands Club in MA; Stephen Plunkett is on an IF&B assignment at Colorado Golf Club in Parker, CO; Joel Corwin continues his IEC assignment at Northampton CC in PA; and, Travis Smith will begin his IEC assignment at The Club at 3 Creek in Jackson Hole, WY on July 18th.

See You In San Diego

We are so looking forward to seeing our clients, vendors, friends, and industry colleagues at the CMAA World Conference in San Diego next month.  It has been too long due to COVID-19 restrictions.

 

We will miss the contributions of two of our Advisors, Dale Terry and Heinz Hofmann.  Dale has taken a permanent Director of Finance assignment in Denver and Heinz accepted the position of GM at The University Club of Palo Alto this month.  Skip Thompson, IGM at The University Club of Palo Alto, will wind up his assignment there next week.  Doug Holtz spent five months at El Niguel Country Club in Orange County, CA and Patrick Casey has been installed as Chief Operating Officer there.  Chef Joel Corwin continues his assignment at the Country Club of Paducah as does Chef Travis Smith at The Amarillo Country Club.

Welcome Jaimie and Dale

We have rolled out our Remote Private Club Controllers with the introduction of our newest two Club Advisors, Jaimie Hambrick from Austin, Texas, and Dale Terry from Elizabeth, Colorado.  These Advisors will provide remote or on-site private club controller services to clubs nationwide after decades of senior accounting and controller assignments in private clubs.

What a Wonderful Week

We had a ball ((Cynthia Geisler, Membership Advisor; Gordon Digby, CCM, PGA, GM Advisor; and former Advisors, Doug Holtz (Hiwan GC), CCM, CCE and Don Ciota (Wichita Falls CC)).  We talked with so many industry experts in every field of private club management and enjoyed so much the interchanges on what is going on in the industry.  It was thrilling to reunite with so many professionals and friends we have had in the industry over the years.  That is what makes our private club industry so special.
